The West has such an easy way of dismissing an entire region’s efforts and denigrating their plight. You just put the “Islamist” stamp on something, without ever being able to define what in the world that even means, et voilà, an entire revolution is delegitimized. The raped women, the massacred children, the brave fighting of every single man and woman, the most noble of intentions — all without legitimacy because some white fucker in his $12,000 suit in New York deems it “Islamist”. 

The rhetoric of war is powerful. Be mindful of what the people in power say and what they imply by it.
